K-Electric and WAPDA FC seal victories in 12th Pakistan Premier Football League
K-Electric beat KPT FC and WAPDA beat Afghan FC on the 7th day of Pakistan Premier Football League 2018 which is being played at Qila Qasim Bagh Stadium in Multan.
K-Electric players fought hard against their opponents; starting the match on the high as they made full effort to score but the opponent team’s defence game was too strong as the first half ended on a 0-0 score-line. But K-Electric footballers did not lose their hope and came out much stronger into the second half through Muhammad Riaz who scored the winning goal for his team in the 48th minute of the match.
KPT Football Club players tried their best but their performance was not managed well as they were not able to score a single goal for their side and finished the match with them losing by 0-1. Fahim Shah and Sammer Ali of the losing team were cautioned for a foul play into the game as well.
Whereas the second match was a successive win of WAPDA Football Club whose players showed incredible ball control right from the beginning and did not give their opponents any room to settle down. WAPDA’s first goal came through Ahmed Faheem in the very first minute into the match and WAPDA from then on kept their control on the lead throughout the game. Winning team’s Husnain Abbas netted another goal in the 50th minute of the match earning his team the victory for the match.
Pressure on the losing team continued to build although their side’s Mujeeb Ur Rehman slammed one goal in rather delayed 66th minute of the match but their absence of good performance was visible of which winning team took advantage and gained the victory of the second match by a one goal lead on 2-1 final score.
All the teams demonstrated excellent football play and defeated their respective rival clubs and qualified for the further matches to be played into the league.
