51st Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Golf Championship concludes successfully

Zaib-u-Nisa, Syeda Imam Ali Shah and Ghazanfar Mehmood triumphs over their respective opponents and booked the first spots in the 51st Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Golf Championship which was being held at Piffer Golf and Country Club, Abbottabad.

Royal Palm Club’s Zaib-u-Nisa accomplished the win by successfully performing through a hole-in-one which gifted her a 125 cc Yamaha motorcycle for this achievement. She was able to create a record in the golfing history by her superb performance with first gross scores of 80, 80 and an aggregate of 160 and was able to name the KP Amateur Women’s Golf title.

While Mrs. Tahira Nazir from Rawalpindi was able to secure the second spot with two days aggregate score of 174 and the third slot went to Shazadi Gulfam of Punjab Police with her aggregate score for two rounds of 187.

In the Women’s Net category, Syeda Imam Ali Shah booked the first place with a net two rounds aggregate of 137. Second spot was managed by Ana James Gill also from Royal Palm with her total net of 146. Third slot went to Garrison Club’s Shabana Waheed as her net total was of 146, but the second prize was awarded to Ana as she had a better score in the final 18 holes.

Ghazanfar Mehmood from Garden City Golf Club was up against many challenging players but with his hard efforts he won the title of Men’s gross with three rounds’ scores of 77, 72 and 71 which added up to 220 and made place among the other top performers of the championship. Whereas Peshawar’s Khushal Khan etched his name on the second position by getting successful with three rounds aggregate of 222. Taimur Khan also from Peshawar was able to take the third spot with scoring 224 in total.

The championship was organized by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Golf Association (KPGA) in collaboration with Piffer Golf and Country Club Abbottabad which featured top notch golfers from across the country in six different categories.
