Karwan FC to face Elite FC in the semi-final of Islamabad Peace Football Tournament 2018
Karwan FC thrashed Poona FC by 2-0 and qualified for the semi-final stage of Islamabad Peace Football Tournament 2018 which is being played at NIH Al-Qaim Football Ground Chak Shehzad in Islamabad.
Karwan Football Club was up against Poona Football Club in which Poona FC suffered the loss on 2-0 score-line. The winning team was determined to gain this win for the match so as to book place in the semi-final stage of the tournament and to make this possible, players from Karwan Football Club made tremendous efforts slamming two goals for their team. Although it was somewhat a close call but the winning team’s players were not facing much pressure as their goal keeper was hardly bothered to save the attacks of the opponent team.
This game was a disappointing performance of the losing club as despite having created several chances the players were not able to net a single goal into the opponent’s goal post. Karwan FC kept the control of the ball for much of the match with finishing the game in their favor.
Whereas in the other two matches played, Gangal Football Club was able to seal victory against the host club Al-Qaim on a 3-1 score-line. The home side was seen putting up a brave fight at first but the players were only able to concede even one goal for their side against the winning team’s 3 goals. However, in another match afterwards, the home club came out with their best game-play and was able to beat BK United Football Club by trashing them on a 3-0 score-line.
The most valuable player on the ground, Nouman Satti paired with talented Muneeb Ghouri scored 1 goal each for the winning club. Also, Kawish Saleem contributed 1 goal for the victory of the winning team.
Now the first semi-final of the tournament will see Karwan Footbal Club battling with one of the other successful Football Club, Elite FC while the second semi-final of the tournament will be played between the host Al-Qaim and Gangal Football Clubs.
