WAPDA, Army, Rawalpindi and Karachi register first wins in National Women Basketball Championship 2018
WAPDA, Army, Rawalpindi and Karachi outplayed their respective opponents on the opening day of National Women Basket Ball Championship 2018 which is being held at Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.
WAPDA was up against Hyderabad in the second match on the opening day of the championship in which WAPDA being the defending champions, brilliantly sealed the victory of the match by crushing Hyderabad’s basketball team with 122 points in total. The losing team was able to dip only 16 points against 122 which result in WAPDA Basketball Team’s win for the match.
Talented Army Basketball Team claimed the victory of the first match in the day as the players showed flawless performance by thrashing the opponent team Quetta in a one-sided match with 86 points against 16 points.
The third match of the day faced the players of Rawalpindi Basketball Team who displayed their true skills proving their fine game of dribble, pass and shoot through the basket and onto the floor by thrashing Hazara Team who managed to score only 8 points against Rawalpindi’s 20 points.
Karachi players made their way making sure to earn the win for the match through edge-pasting Hyderabad by 32-7 score-line. The winning team player’s accuracy was too much for the losing team to catch up to as the winning team kept the ball possession in their control and did not let the opponent team score for much of the game.
It proved to be quite a fitting victory for all the winning teams as all the matches ended up being a one-sided affair for the winning teams.
