Pakistan’s emerging badminton star Raza Ali win Bronze in Men’s singles U-19 category of the BWF Dubai Junior International Badminton Series 2018 at Dubai.
Pakistan’s junior badminton player Raza Ali clinched Bronze Medal in the Men’s singles U-19 category of BWF Dubai Junior International Badminton Series 2018 at Dubai.
The 15-year old Raza played marvelously to win the quarterfinal against Vasantha Kumar Rajendran of UAE in a one sided affair by 2-0. Raza started the match on a positive note as he gave no easy points on their serve and built pressure on the UAE player to win the match with the final score line of 21-16, 21-19 in 34 minutes battle.
In the semifinal, player from Lahore lost to second seed of the tournament Varun Kapur of India in straight games by 2-0. It was a cakewalk for the 2nd seeded with experience and excellent deceptive stroke play while control in games. It was the first international tournament for the unseeded Raza who have no answer of Indian player’s fast and fury aces and lost the match with the final score line of 21-12, 21-6 in 21 minutes battle.
The young emerging badminton star participated in the mega tournament on his own expense to bring laurel for the country.
