PSA 4th Punjab National Senior Squash Championship continue in full swing

In one of the best matches of the day, spirited Sheikh Saqib of Punjab fought hard but he finally retired hurt in the fifth game against seasoned Ali Bukhari of the Railways to face a defeat with the score being in favor of the winner 14/12, 7/11, 5/11, 11/8 and 7/0. Saqib had made an inspiring start as he recovered well after losing the first game to come ahead 2-1 by winning the next two. But international player Ali Bukhari restored the parity by registering a victory in the fourth. Ali Bukhari was well on course of victory when he saw Sheikh Saqib had developed cramps and had to leave the court cringing in pain.
In another tough match of the day, Mehran Javed of the Pakistan Air Force roared back to outclass Haris Iqbal of the KP in a five-game encounter. After making a sluggish start of losing the first two games by 7-11 and 2-11, Mehran kept himself composed to stage a comeback winning the next three games on the trot to move ahead with the final score line of 7-11,2-11,11-9,11-2,11-1.

In the opening Ceremony Secretory Punjab Squash Sheraz Saleem was chief guest. At this moment VP Tariq Farooq Rana, Coaches, Refrees, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Imran, Asim Amin, Shoaib Masood, Muhammad Shahid and many players also witness on day one. Lot of good games seen on the day one of main round where all the top players qualify for quarter finals of the event.
