Pakistan Women Powerlifting Team shines in the 11 Asian Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship
Pakistan Women’s Powerlifting Team creates history with winning 3 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals at the 11 Asian Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship which is being held in Dubai.
Pakistani women powerlifting team showed outstanding performance at the 11 Asian Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship and proved their mettle creating history in powerlifting competitions as they won three gold, four silver and three bronze medals to become one of the strongest female squad to emerge from the country.

11 Asian Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship was the very first international event for Rabia Shahzad to which she said,"This was my first international competition that was affiliated with the Asian Powerlifting Federation. The competition level was very high since all the countries from the continent were here.”
Whereas the male squad from Pakistan was not able to get their hands on any of the medals in men's competitions.
The 11th Asian Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship has been organised by the Asian Powerlifting Federation, Emirates Powerlifting and International Powerlifting Federation which featured a total of 600 men and women from 23 Asian countries to compete in different weight categories.
