2nd Standard Chartered Karachi United Youth Football League all set to kick off from September 29th

Total 44 teams will take part in the second edition of Standard Chartered Karachi United Youth Football League which is all set being from 29th September at Karachi United Football Club in Karachi.

Standard Chartered Bank, in partnership with Karachi United Football Club launched its second Standard Chartered Karachi United Youth League which will feature 44 teams from Karachi United community centers that are established in Old Golimar, Clifton, Shireen Jinnah, Keamari, Malir, Baldia, Lyari, Korangi, Manghopir and Mauripur.  

CEO of Karachi United Football Club, Imran Ahmed said, “The coaches there will hold trials and select their respective team for participation in the tournament.”

This championship will last for 3 months and the competitions will see a total of 800 boys and girls in different age categories from across Karachi who will be participating in the matches. Total 36 boys in 3 different age categories and 8 girls in Under-16 age category will compete against each other.

Following are the age categories for boys:
1. Under-10
2. Under-12 and
3. Under-14

Over a three months period the teams will play 128 matches and through this league these players will be provided a platform for Youth football teams from across the under-served areas of Karachi to come together, break barriers and inculcate the spirit of competition.
