Sindh to compete against Punjab in the final of National U-15 Football Championship 2018
Sindh and Punjab beat their respective opponents and qualified for the final of National U-15 Football Championship 2018 which is being held at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.
Sindh was up against Islamabad in the first semi-final of the championship in which Sindh Team’s footballers displayed outstanding performance and claimed the win of the match making their way into the final of the championship. Both teams gave their best and made several chances at each other’s goal posts but the score-line remained goalless till the end of the scheduled time. Penalty shootouts therefore determined the outcome of the match.
However, Sindh Football Team confirmed its progress into the final-stage through winning on penalty shootouts.
In the second semi-final, Punjab faced Balochistan and the match ended in no one’s favor as both the team players were able to score 1 goal each for their team thus the match ended in a 1-1 draw. But Punjab Team showed a superb game-play in penalty shootouts and booked it’s place for the final in the championship.
The National U-15 Football Championship 2018 is being conducted under the supervision of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in which a total of 12 teams featured and competed in the matches against each other.
The final of the National U-15 Football Championship 2018 will be played today at 03:30 PM at Punjab Stadium in Lahore. President PFF, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat will be the Chief Guest while Mr. Amir Jan, DG Sports Board Punjab will be the Guest of Honour and will distribute prizes among winner and runner-ups of the championship.
