Major Shabbir Shaheed XI clinches the title of KBBA Defence Day Basketball Tournament 2018
Major Shabbir Shaheed XI triumphs over Major Mohammad Tufail Shaheed XI team by 58-54 to win the title of KBBA Defence Day Basketball Tournament which was held at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
Both the teams played marvelously as it was a close call for the winning team against their opponent team but Major Shabbir Shaheed Eleven’s basketball players stood out as they came out strong in the end finishing the thrilling final game of the tournament to claim their victory.
Talented Abdullah led the attack for the winning team through scoring 20 points whereas Raja Jahanzeb made 11 shoots and Chen way scored 10 points. All the boys displayed their true skills proving their fine game of dribble, pass and shoot on the floor.
For the losing team they did try to get better in their game but ended up losing the title. Talha Amjad and Ali Chanzeb both scored 13 points each for Major Mohammad Tufail Shaheed Eleven’s team while Agha Ibrahim claimed 11 points.
Chairman Advance Seed Corporation Ather Ali Khanzada was the chief guest who distributed prizes and trophies among the winners and the runner-up teams.
In the juniors contest, the title was won by Flying Office Marium Mukhtar Shaheed Eleven team who defeated Hawaladar Lalakjan Shaheed Eleven on a close call of 35-30 score in a nail-biting final match.
Chen Way was crowned player of the tournament in the Seniors competitions while Abdullah was named player of the final match. In the Junior category, Hasan Ali was named player of the tournament and Faizan Yousuf as the player of the final match.
Secretary Sports, Government of Sindh, Haroon Ahmed and President KBBA Ghulam Mohammad were also present on the occasion and thanked the organizers and SSB for supporting the event.
