First Ground and Pound Wrestling on 16th September
Teams from all over Pakistan will be participating in the one-day event which is scheduled to be held on 16th September in Bahria Town, Islamabad.
The first ever Ground and Pound Wrestling is organized under the banner of International Karate Organization So-Kyukoshin by Raja’s Martial Arts and Fitness Centre. The fights will be conducted under the supervision of Shihan Raja Khalid black belt 6th Dan Japan Shihan Shafiq Awan black belt 5th Dan.
This one-day fighting event will be featuring teams from all over Pakistan who will be seen battling against each other in eleven different weight categories.
Following are the confirmed participating teams:
1. Chakwal
2. Gujrat
3. Lahore
4. Taxila
5. Hassan Abdal
Following are the weight categories:
1. 25 kg
2. 30 kg
3. 35 kg
4. 40 kg
5. 45 kg
6. 50 kg
7. 55 kg
8. 60 kg
9. 65 kg
10 .70 kg and
11. Over 70 KG (free weight)
The winners of each category will be awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. The fights will start from 02:00 PM and on-wards on 16th September in Bahria Town, Islamabad.
