Bushi Ban Karate wins the title of Maguns Sports Independence Day Karate Championship 2018
Bushi Ban Karate wins the title of Maguns Sports Independence Day Karate Championship 2018 which was held at Institute of Karate Pakistan (HQ) in Lyari, Karachi.
Total 150 karateka of different clubs from all over Karachi participated in Maguns Sports Independence Day Karate Championship 2018. Director Sindh Sports Board, Shehzada Pervaiz Bhatti was the chief guest whereas World Karate Federation’s president, Naseem Ahmed Qureshi graced the event. The championship was conducted under the proved World Karate Federation (WKF)’s rules.
Bushi Ban Karate Centre triumphed over its opponents making to the top spot with 180 points in total while second place went to Nikap Karate Centre who ended the championship with 165 points. Tai Karate Centre finished on 50 points getting the third position.
Following are the weight categories in which male players competed:
1. 60 kg
2. 55 kg
3. 50 kg
4. 45 kg
5. 40 kg and
6. 60+ kg
Following are the weight categories in which women players competed:
1. 45 kg
2. 40 kg
3. 35 kg and
4. 45+ kg
At the end, Shehzada Pervaiz Bhatti , Director Sindh Sports Board thanked the tremendous efforts of Sindh Karate Association (SKA) for conducting this event successfully. Medals, trophies and awards were also distributed among the officials and winners and participants of each competition.
