Pakistan to host PAK-India Kick-Boxing Series from 28th October

Kick-Boxing Federation Pakistan is organizing the Pakistan and India Kick-Boxing Series from October 28 in Pakistan.

Master Zar Muhammad, official Kick-Boxing Federation Pakistan and Secretary General KP Kick-Boxing said that proper arrangements are in process to make the event a success from the beginning. He said a camp at the national level would be setup with all the players short-listed out of the Divisional Kick Boxing Championship for a month before final teams would be announced to compete against India in the series.

It will be the first time in history for Pakistan and India to compete in a kick-boxing series. Kick-boxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate mixed with boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defence, general fitness, or as a contact sport.

Kick-boxing is gaining roots among the youth of Pakistan, Zar Muhammad added and disclosed that a Divisional Kick Boxing Championship was organized in Kohat with the collaboration of District Sports Officer Kohat, Syed Sikander Shah in which a total of 16 teams participated. Out of the championship a selection committee short-listed four players; Muhammad Amin 75kg (Dir Upper), Taimur 69kg (Peshawar), Mujahid 64kg (Kohat) and Hassan Ilyas 60kg (Bannu) to take part in the camp training from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
