Naqeeb Ullah makes it to the Men's 56kg Boxing quaterfianls of 18th Asian Games

Naqeeb Ullah beats Nima Dorija of Bhutan by 3-2 to reach the quarterfinals of 56kg Boxing at the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

In Men's Bantam (56kg) Round of 16 Pakistani boxer Naqeeb Ullah defeated Bhutan boxer Nima Dorija in a split decision of 5 judges by 3-2. Naqeeb Ullah earlier won his first match at the Asian Games against United Arab Emirates’ Majid Alnaqbi in Round of 32.

Naqeeb Ullah was the unanimous winner in the first round in the close call of 10-9. However in the second round 3 judges gave the decision against him. In the final round he got the favor of 3 judges to earn the win.
