SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 to kickoff from 4th September
7 nations to take part in the 12th edition of the SAFF Suzuki Cup which is schedule to be held from 4th - 15th September in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Total 7 nations will be participating in the SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 this time as Afghanistan has switched federations with Central Asia Football Association (CAFA), a year ago. India is the most successful team in the tournament with seven titles therefore the country is defending champions in the league. Bangladesh will be hosting the event yet again, the third time. The tournament is all set to run from 4th September to 15th September 2018.
The 7 teams will be divided into two groups. Pakistan is being place in Group A along with 3 other South Asian countries which are:
Group A: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.
Group B: India, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh will take on Bhutan on Sep. 4, Bangladesh will face Pakistan on Sep. 6, and Bangladesh will meet Nepal on Sep. 8. The champions of the Group-A will take on the runners-up of the Group-B in the first semi-final on Sep. 12, while the champions of the Group-B will face the runners-up of the Group-A in the second semi-final on the same day. The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final on Sep. 15.
