Nargis wins bronze medal for Pakistan in women's +68kg Karate by beating opponent from Nepal.
Nargis wins Pakistan's first ever Asian Games Women's karate bronze medal in Indonesia. Nargis defeated Rita Karki of Nepal in +68kg bronze medal contest at the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang.
Nargis defeated her Nepalese opponent with a score of 3-1. Hailing from Quetta, Nargis won all three points with Yuko to claim her maiden bronze medal. Nargis earlier lost the semi final to Gao Mengmeng of China but kept her morale high for the 3rd position match and followed advice from coaches to clinch the medal.
This bronze medal is only the second medal won by Pakistan so far in the 18th Asian Games. Pakistan earlier won a bronze medal in Men's Kabaddi.
