Pakistan Premier Football League to kickoff from 1st September
PPFL, the primary football competition of Pakistan is all set to be held from 1st September to 10th December in Karachi and Lahore.
Pakistan Premier Football League makes a return after more than three years long gap. Pakistan Football Federation have finalized 12 teams in total which will be competing against each other which include: Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) the most successful club in terms of most trophies won, 7 times Pak football champions WAPDA FC , Pakistan International Airline (PIA) 9 times national championship winner, Karachi Port Trust FC nicknamed the Portmen, Afghan FC Chaman founding members of the PPL, Chaman’s Muslim FC and Quetta’s Baloch FC.
Timings and venues for the matches are yet to be announced, however, the first phase of the league is said to be played on home and away basis at the KPT Sports Complex. The second phase will begin at Lahore from 1st November. Two matches will be played in a day.
It is stated mandatory for all the teams to have one AFC License and a coach as its head coach during the season.
