ITF to hold two grade-5 juniors events in Pakistan
International Tennis Federation (ITF) has confirmed the allocation of two ITF Grade-5 Juniors events to Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) from 5th to 17th November at S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex Garden Avenue, Park area Islamabad.
International Tennis Federation (ITF) has confirmed the allocation of two ITF Grade-5 Juniors events to Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF). PTF said in a statement that ITF has allocated two junior events to be played in Islamabad from November 5-17.
“These tournaments will be played on the new synthetic surface being constructed at the PTF Complex,” Senator Wasim Sajjad said !.
ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships (I) will be played between 5th to 10th November at PTF Complex. The singles main and qualifying round draw size contain 32 places for boys and girls while 16 places are reserved for doubles matches.
Pakistan will also host the ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships (II) which is schedule to be held from 12th to 17th November at PTF Complex. The singles main and qualifying round draw size comprise of 32 places for boys and girls while 16 places are reserved for doubles matches.
In 2019, the PTF will apply for four ITF Grade-5 Juniors events, after hosting the events in 2018 in order to promote tennis in youth who have shown keen interest in the game and want to improve their ranking, especially after the return of international events.
