Pakistan Chief of Air Staff Int’l Squash Tournament 2018 to commence from September 10

Pakistan Chief of Air Staff Int’l Squash Tournament 2018 is all set to be held from 10-14 Sep. at the Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.

Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) in collaboration with Pakistan Air Force is organizing Chief of Air Staff International Men and Women Squash Tournament at Islamabad with a prize purse for both the categories.

Foreign players from 7 countries are to participate in the tournament which include Austria, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Egypt, Iran, Thailand and Netherlands. The top seed in men’s event will be Hong Kong’s Leo Au while Egypt’s Rowan Elaraby will be the top seed in female event. 14 foreign players will be arriving in Pakistan from 7th to 9th September; 6 women and 8 men.

The first qualifying round of the tournament will be played on 10th September. The men players who have qualified for the event from Pakistan are Abbas Zeb, Shahjahan Khan, Tayyab Aslam, Asim Khan, Ammad Fareed, Ashan Ayaz, Aamir Atlas Khan, Farhan Zaman, Mostafa Asal, Farhan Mehboob and Israr Ahmed. While the women qualifiers are Noor-ul-Huda, Saima Shoukat, Anam Mustafa Aziz, Moqaddas Ashraf, Laiba Ahmed, Zoya Khalid, Zahab Kamal Khan, Fehmina Asim, Komal Khan, Riffat Khan, Amna Fayyaz. The 1st qualifying round will be played between Pakistan’s Noor-ul-Huda and Thailand’s 214 world ranker Anantana Prasertratanakul. While in men’s event Sajad Zareian Jahromi of Iran will compete against Malaysia’s Ivan Yuen.
