Pakistan beats Saudia Arabia 3-0 in the 19th Asian Men’s U-20 Volleyball Championship 2018
Saudi Arabia lost to Pakistan with 13-25, 20-25, 18-25 score-line in the 13th-16th playoffs held at Manama, Bahrain on Thursday
In the 13th-16th playoffs, Pakistan gathered its second win in the 19th Asian Volleyball Championship 2018 after Pakistan lost its initial matches to Chinese Taipie and Saudia Arabia in the preliminary Pool E matches. Pakistan later defeated Jordan 3-0 in Classification for 9-16 ranking teams but lost to Korea with a score of 3-1.
This win over Saudi Arabia served as a revenge for Pakistan since Pakistan had already played with Saudia Arabia in Pool E preliminary match where Pakistan.
Murad Khan exhibited his best form with scoring a total of 23 points against Saudia Arabia that resulted in a great win of 3-0 for Pakistan.
Pakistan Volleyball Team Head Coach Hamid Movahedi said, “I always ask my players to play with quality. Last time that we lost to Saudi Arabia, I did not see them play. We lost to Korea before getting into this match. I was happy with my players as they played better. They made a quality match in a way that they could even take a set from Korea. This makes volleyball more exciting. We will challenge Japan in our next match. I am happy that we found the opportunity in this tournament to be against many good teams that can add to my team’s experience,”
Pakistan will be facing Japan in its next match today for 13th position in the 13th-14th play-off.
