Pakistani Junior win 5 medals in Penang Junior Squash Open, Malaysia

Pakistan’s promising juniors namely Abdullah, Yaseen, Hamza, Ashab and Zeeshan Zeb win medals by winning their respective matches in the Penang Junior Open in Malaysia.

Pakistan’s under-11 player Abdullah Nadeem defeated top seed Abdul Fahmi Abd Basir of Malaysia by 3-2 to win silver medal with the final score line of 8-11,11-6,10-12,12-10,11-8.

In the most interesting match of under-13 Pakistani star player Yassin Khattak created an upset for Bronze as he trashed second seed Arihant Ks of India by 3-0. Yassin played comfortably to get the commanding position with the final score line of 11-7 11-9 11-5.

In the under-15 category, Both Pakistani battle for bronze medal where Muhammad Hamza Khan defeated Noor Zaman by 11-2,7-11,11-9,11-7 while Muhammad Ashrab Irfan defeated Tse Jat of Hong Kong in a straight games by 11-8, 11-7, 16-14 to win Bronze.

In the under 19 category, Zeeshan Zeb defeated Darryl Gan of Malaysia by 11-9,7-11,9-11,11-5,11-8 to get the Silver medal of the Penang Junior Open in Malaysia.

The PBA 16th Penang Junior Open 2018 is concluded at Ndisc, Bukit Dumbar, Penang, Malaysia. This Championship was organised by SRAP (Squash Rackets Association of Penang) and Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM). It is also sanctioned by ASF as part of the Asian Junior Super Series Event with a Platinum status awarded. The championship comprises Boys & Girls under 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 events. This event is also part of the WSF World Junior Circuit and Ranking Program with a Tier 2 status awarded by WSF.
