Ahsan and Rusheen win Sindh Open Badminton Championship
Ahsan claim the men’s single title while Rusheen win the women’s single title of Sindh Open Badminton Championship from 24th -26th June at National Coaching Center, Karachi.
Sindh Badminton Association in collaboration with Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh & Pakistan Sports Board organized the Sindh Open Badminton Championship from 24th -26th June at National Coaching Center, Karachi. The championship comprised Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s singles and Women’s Doubles events. For the first time special children also participated in the mega event.
In the men’s singles final round, Ahsan engaged Ali Mehdi in long rallies and capitalized on soft opportunities as he maintained his lead throughout the game to win it by 21-18.In the next game Ahsan made a confident start as he took the lead from beginning and gave the opponent no opportunity to execute his game as he won the game and the men’s singles title by 21-9.
For men’s doubles title Khan & Ahsan defeated Ahsan Qamar & Aqib with a score line of 16-21, 21-16, 21-19 to win the title of Sindh Open Badminton Championship.
In women’s single final Rusheen trashed Mariam Hanif in a one sided encounter by 21-7,21-5 to win the women’s singles title while Rusheen & Mariam defeated Najma & Fatima 21-7, 26-24, 21-15 to win women’s doubles title.
