Zeeshan, Noor, Hammad, Hamza shines in Borneo Junior Squash Open, Malaysia
Zeeshan , Noor Zaman, Hammad and Hamza defeated their respective opponents in the second day fixtures of Borneo Junior Squash Open 2018 at Sarawak Squash Center, Sarawak, Malaysia.
On the 2nd day of Borneo Junior Squash Open in Malaysia, Zeb Zeeshan trashed Kueh Jong Jian of Malaysia in a straight games by 3-0.The third seed Pakistani player comfortably won the first two games with the margin of 10 points. In the last game Malaysian player tried hard to win the game as young Zeb faced fair bit of resistance against unseeded player but the match ended in Pakistan’s favor by 11-6. Zeb Zeeshan will now face Dinesh Marvindvarmma of Malaysia tomorrow (22 june) at 1:00 pm (PST) in the under-19 quarterfinal round.
In the under 17, Hammad khan defeated Lan Gan of Malaysia by 3-1. Lan Gan put a shiny start as he won the first game by 12-10 but in next games third seed Pakistani player started playing aggressively to win the match with the score line of 10-12, 11-5, 11-3, 11-5. The fifth seed Pakistani junior Riaz Khushal Khan defeated Lee Dennis Joshua of Hong Kong with a score line of 11-2 13-11 11-4 to book their berth in quarterfinal round.
In Under-15 category, Noor Zaman created an upset and defeated 5th seed Curtis Oscar from Australia by 12-10, 11-6 and 11-9. Muhammad Ammad defated Tang Baranard from Malaysia in the 2nd round by 11-3, 11-8, 9-11 & 11-6 whereas Muhammad Hamza outplayed Parakash Levinish from Malaysia by 11-5, 11-7 and 11-2.
In Under-13, category, Yaseen Khattak lost to Tay Jung top seed from Malaysia by 11-8, 10-12, 8-11, 11-8 & 6-11.
