Pakistan Cueists to feature in IBSF World Snooker Championship
Pakistan’s Muhammad Naseem Akhtar, Muhammad Umar Khan and Haris Tahir will participate in the 2018 IBSF World U18 (Men) & U21 (Men & Women) Snooker Championships to be held from July 2 to 11 in Jinan, China.
Chinese Billiards & Snooker Association (CBSA) will host the IBSF World Snooker Championship 2018 to be held from July 2 to 11 in Jinan, China. Total 13 International Referees will be invited: 4 Europe, 5 Asia, 2 Africa and 2 Oceania.
Pakistani three cueists including Muhammad Naseem Akhtar, Muhammad Umar Khan and Haris Tahir will represent Pakistan in the championship. Two officials Munawwar Hussain Shaikh and Naveed Kapadia will also be accompanying the team.
The championship is split into two parts:
1. From 3 to 6 July 2018: World Under-18 Men (with final on 6th)
2. From 7 to 11 July 2018: World Under-21 Men and Women (with final on 11th)
According to Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA), the training camp of the cueists will begin from Wednesday at the NBP at Karachi and will continue till June 29.
