Kiran Club win Islamabad Meridian A-Division Football League
Kiran Club defeated Quaid-i-Azam Club by 6-5 penalty kicks to win Islamabad Meridian A-Division Football League at Karachi Company Football Ground, Islamabad.
The final of Islamabad Meridian A-Division Football League was played between Kiran Club and Quaid-i-Club where both played marvelously but Kiran Club defeated Quaid-i-Azam Club by 6-5 penalty kicks to win Islamabad Meridian A-Division Football League at Karachi Company Football Ground, Islamabad.
In the 3rd minutes of first half, Farideen scored first goal for Kiran Club. Kiran Club was leading by 1-0 goal at the end of the first half. In the 34th minutes of the 2nd half Kamran equalized the match by 1-1 goal. Two teams fought well 1-1 draw at the end of the scheduled time. The decision of the final match was given on penalty kick. Five penalty kicks were given to the each club. Kiran Club scored five goals while four goals were scored Quaid-i-Azam on penalty kicks.
Kamran of Quaid-i-Azam Club nominated as the “Best player” of the tournament while Kahliq-uz-Zaman of Youngster declared as top scorer. Referee Dilawar Hussain supervised the match and assisted by Chaman and Shamoon. Shahid Saddique acted as match commissioner.
Chairman, Union Council Badhana, Malik Hafiz-ur-Rehman Tipo graced the concluding ceremony as chief guest and gave trophies to the winner and running-up teams.President, Islamabad Football Association, Saleem Chaudhry, General Secretary, Syed Sharafat Bukhari and a large number of peoples were also present on the occasion.
Total 12 teams participated in the league including Falcon, Haidery, Al-Qaim, Poona, Bolan, Youngsters, Quaid-i-Azam, Islamabad, Jinnah, Kiran, Pak Sporting and Gangal Club. Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari said that Islamabad Super Football league will be played in July. Eight top teams will be participated including Akbar Club, Rover Club, Mehran Club, Huma Club, Evergreen Club, CDA Club, Islamabad Club, Islamabad Acadmy Club and Ravi Club.
