PAK Taekwondo squad named for Kathmandu International Taekwondo Championship
Pakistan’s four member Taekwondo squad will participate in 2nd Kathmandu International Taekwondo Championship from 17th to 20th May at Dasrath National Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal.
The United Taekwondo Dojang is organizing the Kathmandu International Taekwondo Championship under the supervision of Nepal Taekwondo Federation from 17th to 20th May at National sports council, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal. The championship comprises six different events including Kyorugi, Poomsea, Para, Cadet, Junior and Senior.
Following are the Pakistan’s Taekwondo squad:
1. Mr Alamgir Ali
2. Mr Muhammad Waqar
3. Mr Rafi Ullah
4. Mr Adnan Maqsood
Today, Pakistani contingent will move from Pakistan by Flight No:FZ-338 from Sialkot Airport to participate in this event. The main aim and objectives of participation of said athletes is to give maximum exposure to play against foreign athletes and learn latest techniques and skills which will be beneficial for the said athletes for preparations of upcoming major international events like South Asian Games. It will also help the management of the federation to monitor their standard of their improvement.
