Lahore to host Punjab Boxing Championship from 12th May
Sports Board Punjab (SBP) is organizing the Inter-Division Punjab Boxing Championship from 12th to 15th May at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall, Lahore.
Sports Board Punjab (SBP) under the supervision of Secretary Sports Punjab, Muhammad Aamir Jan is organizing the Punjab Boxing Championship for male and female boxers from May 12 to 15 at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall, Lahore.
The championship will be held under the slogan of “Kaun banay ga Punjab ka boxing champion” and the event will be conducted in 24 weight categories of three classes, Youth Class, Elite Class and Elite Female Class.
Following are the divisional teams:
1. DG Khan
2. Bahawalpur
3. Multan
4. Faisalabad
5. Sahiwal
6. Lahore
7. Rawalpindi
8. Sargodha
9. Gujranwala
Punjab Boxing federation has conducted the trials for selection of teams of all the districts in which 765 boxers from nine divisions featured in the 2-day hectic trials activity at State of the Art Punjab Tennis Stadium.
Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan announced that the winners of Punjab Boxing Championship in different categories will be awarded handsome cash prizes while 50 gold medals, 25 silver and 12 bronze medals will be distributed among the top pugilists of grand championship.
