Men, Women Road cycling championship from Friday
Third edition of National men, women road cycling race to be held from 4th to 6th May at Northern Bypass Motorway Exchange, Peshawar.
Secretary General Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali has said that the third edition of National man, women event would held in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cycling Association.
About 150 male and female cyclists from different teams would take part in the National Championships, he said. The championship will be carrying two different categories Elite Class (17-year-old and above) and Junior Class (Under-17).
One way 14 kilometer track of Northern bypass will be used for the competition on both ways. Championship will feature individual time trials, team time trials and road race with six male and six female cyclists from each team will record their best time for the overall trophy, he added.
Officials and office-bearers had issued UCI license according to rules of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and the Asian Cycling Union (ACU), Syed Azhar Ali has said. Opening ceremony of the event will held on Friday May 4 at 7:00 am where DG Sports KP Junaid Khan will grace the occasion as chief guest at the opening ceremony.
