Pakistan Army wins 28th Pakistan National Handball Championship
Pakistan Army defeated Pakistan WAPDA by 35-24 to win the 28th Pakistan National Handball Championship title at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
Total Eight teams participated in National Handball Championship which was divided into 2 groups where Pakistan Army outplayed Pakistan WAPDA to win the 28th Pakistan National Handball Championship title at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
Pakistan Army played marvelously as they did not allow their opponents to play freely as they scored 35 goals while rivals Pakistan WAPDA scored 24 goals. Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC) snatched third position after beating Pakistan Railways by 40-36 in a classification match.
Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF) and Vice-President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), Mr. Syed Muhammad Abid Qadri graced the ceremony as chief guest and distributed medals, trophies and prizes among the position holder teams. Asian Handball Federation Secretary General and PHF President Mr. Muhammad Shafiq and PHF Secretary General Mr. Javed Iqbal Gill were also present during the closing ceremony.
