Pakistan storms into South Asian Under-12 Tennis Championship semifinals
Pakistan makes their way into the semifinal stage of ongoing South Asian Under-12 Tennis Championship played at Kathmandu, Nepal.
Despite losing their match against the hosts Nepal, Pakistani under-12 team have qualified for the semifinals of South Asian Under-12 Tennis Championship.
Pakistan will face the challenge of Nepal in the semifinal stage while India to play against Sri Lanka in the second semifinal. Pakistan earlier defeated Bhutan 3-0 where Bilal Asim ousted Jigme Pema Namgyel by 6-0, 6-0. In the second match Huzaifa Khan defeated Tashi Nema Tshering without conceding a single game by 6-0, 6-0.
In the doubles encounter Hamid Israr and Bilal Asim recorded an immaculate 6-1, 6-0 win over Sherab Gyeltshen and Jigme Pema Namgyel.
Although Pakistan lost against Nepal 2-1 where Aki Zuben Rawat defeated Bilal Asim 6-2, 6-2 and took 1-0 lead over Pakistan but Hamid Israr equaled the score 1-1 by defeating Aarav Samrat Hada 6-2, 6-3. In the doubles match Aki Zuben Rawat and Aarav Samrat Hada tamed Pakistani duo M. Huzaifa Khan and Bilal Asim 6-0, 6-1.
