Bajaur Super League kicks off with a colorful ceremony
Bajaur Super League cricket tournament starts with impressive opening ceremony at the sports complex Bajaur.
Sector Commander (north) of Pakistan Army Brig Kiani inaugurated the tournament which was organized by the local men. Tribal elders, political activists, youth and a large number of players attended the opening ceremony.
Students of various schools displayed gymnastics and taekwondo skills, receiving appreciation from the spectators. Brig Kiani warmly welcomed the event and said that holding such events will promote peace in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Political agent Amir Khattak said sports in the region will help to promote the tolerance and harmony among the people especially youths.
Bajaur Super League chairman Eng Bahdar Khan briefed the participants about the significance of the event and said the aim of the tournament was to provide an opportunity of entertainment to the people and to exploit players’ talent.
