Muhammad Bilal wins Bronze in commonwealth wrestling competition
Muhammad Bilal outplayed England’s George Ramm in the third position match of Men’s freestyle 57kg wrestling competition by 6-1 at the Carrara Sports Arena 1 in XXI Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Australia.
22 years old Muhammad Bilal made it a hat trick of Bronze medals for Pakistan as he won by 6:1 against RAMM George of England.
Bilal earned 2 technical points in the first round of Men's Freestyle 57 kg match played at Carrara Sports Arena 1, for the 3rd position. The pehalwan from Gujranwala provided the Englishman from Bolton no opportunity score points as he left the mat at end of round 1 with a lead of 2 points.
In the second round, Bilal was awarded 2 points twice as he outplayed Englishman George Ramm who only managed to earn 1 point as the Pakistani won by decision at 6:1 to secured Pakistan's 3 Bronze medal in the XXI Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Australia.
Earlier, Bilal was outclassed by Indian Rahul Aware in the semifinal.
Muhammad Bilal had won Silver medal in the Men's Freestyle 57 kg, and a Bronze in Men's Greco-Roman 59 kg category in Commonwealth Wrestling Championships held in 2016, Singapore.
