Pakistan to host SAFF Football Championship in 2020

South Asian Football Federation has allocated three regional football events to Pakistan between 2019 to 2021 after the restoration of Pakistan Football Federation.

South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has delegated three regional football tournaments to Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) between the 2019 to 2021 including the SAFF Football championship in 2020, a high official of PFF has announced.

In the Congress meeting, SAFF has approved Pakistan as the host of South Asian Football Championship in 2020. Moreover, Pakistan will also host South Asian under-15 Boys championship 2019 and under-19 women’s championship 2021, the official has said. President PFF Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has also hailed the decision and said that the three big events awarded to Pakistan is a success of PFF and “The struggling period of Pakistan Football is over now”.

Federation also elected Khadim Ali shah of Pakistan as the vice president of South Asian Football Federation for the next four years. SAFF includes seven regional countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Bhotan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
