Farhan & Tayyab win Men's Squash Double Pool D Match in Gold Coast
Farhan Zaman & Tayyan Aslam defeated their opponents Joe Chapman & Neville Sorrentino by 2-0 in Men’s Squash Double Pool D in the XXI Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Australia.
In the Men’s doubles Pool D match, Pakistani squash pair Farhan Zaman & Tayyab Aslam defeated their opponents Joe Chapman & Neville Sorrentino from British Virgin Island by 2-0 in Oxenford Studios, Squash Crt 6 and qualifies for the next round.
In the first game, Pakistani pair played well as they scored 4 consecutive points at beginning and made their position strong in front of British Virgin Island pair. Pakistani young pair faced fair bit of resistance against 55 years old Neville but the game ended in Pakistan’s favor by 11-8 in just 8 minutes.
In the second game, Frahan & Tayyab played confidently and easily defeated their opponents as they did not allow them to play freely and won the one sided game by 11-4 in just 7 minutes struggle.
