Tayyab & Madina win Squash Doubles in Commonwealth Games
Tayyab Aslam & Madina Zafar outclassed their opponents Mary Fung -A-Fat & Jason-Ray Khalil by 2-0 in Squash Mixed Doubles Pool E in the XXI Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Australia.
In the mixed doubles Pool E match, Pakistani squash pair Tayyab Aslam & Madina Zafar defeated their opponents Mary Fung-A-Fat & Jason-Ray Khalil of Guyana by 2-0 in Oxenford Studios, Squash Crt 6.
In the first game, Pakistani pair played well as they displayed superb back and fore hand shots to leave opponents helpless as nineteen years old Pakistani girl did not allow Twenty-three years old Guyana pair to play freely and won the game by 11-6 in just 6 minutes.
In the second game, Tayyab & Madina faced fair bit of resistance against Guyana pair as they tried hard to win the tough competition but game ended in Pakistan’s favor by 11-9 in 8 minutes.
Tomorrow Tayyab Aslam & Farhan Zaman will team up to face Joe Chapman & Neville Sorrentino of British Virgin Island Men's Squash Doubles Pool D match at 6:50 AM (PST).
