Noor Zaman through to Semis of National Squash Championship
Top seed Noor Zaman of PAF move into semi-finals of the Wazir Gul National Junior Squash Championship at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex, Peshawar.
In the first quarterfinal on day two of Wazir Gul National Junior Squash Championship, Noor Zaman played against Abbas Nawaz and won the intense battle by 3-1 in U-15 category. Noor gave tough time to Nawaz in the first set as he did not allow him to play freely and won the set by 11-5. Noor Zaman played well and after losing the second set, staged a strong comeback and won two consecutive sets with score 11-5, 6-11, 11-9 and 11-8 and moved to the semi-final. Tayyub Rauf, Muhammad Hamza and Hammad Khan also moved into semifinals of Under-15 category.
In the Under-17 category, Uzair Shoukat, Hamza Sharif, Rashid Daulat and Muhammad Saqib Iqbal moved to the semi-final after recording victories against their respective rivals while in the Under-19 category, Zeeshan Zeb, Saif Ullah, Zeeshan Gul and Abbas Zeb moves into the semifinals.
