Aqua Quetta FC seals Ufone Balochistan Football Cup
Aqua Club Quetta outplayed Noshkal Baloch Club Noshki by 2-1 in the Ufone Balochistan Football Cup final at the Railways’ ground, Quetta.
The final of the Ufone Balochistan Football Cup was played between Aqua Club Quetta and Noshkal Baloch FC Noshki where Aqua Club Quetta outshines Noshki in a thrilling encounter by 2-1. The championship had 30 teams, five from each city and engaged 450 young footballers.
In the first half, Aqua Quetta took advantage of a defense lapse in the first ten minutes of the game while Noshkal Baloch was more focused on attack. However, after the initial defense Aqua Quetta geared up the aggression and made several attacks on the Noshkal Baloch’s goal but could not get the ball past the goal post and no goal was scored in the first half.
In the second half, Noshkal Baloch’s Abdul Malk scored beautiful goal to take the lead in the match. After a gap of 15 minutes Sher Hassan from Aqua Quetta cored an equalizer to keep his club’s hopes alive for the title. It was not until the last few minutes of the game when Aqua Quetta’s Nasrullah scored on a penalty to ensure his team lifts the trophy.
Secretary Sports Balochistan, Manzoor Ahmed graced the ceremony as chief guest and gave away trophy to the winning team. He said “It is a great initiative from Ufone these kinds of activities, not only promote good health but also help build confidence in the youth and provide them a competitive opportunity”. The final was attended by a large crowd including general public, dignitaries, media and management of Ufone.
