Noshkal Baloch, Aqua Quetta to faceoff in Balochistan Football Cup Final
Noshkal Baloch defeated Afghan FC Chaman and Aqua Quetta overpowered Afghan Pishin FC to qualify for the final of Ufone Balochistan Football cup 2018.
Both the semifinals were played at Railway Ground located on Zarghoon Road, Quetta. First semifinal was played between Noshkal Baloch FC and Afghan Chaman FC where Noshkal humbles Afghan Chaman FC by 1-0 to qualify for the final.
Both the teams started the match with good pace and posted attacks on each other’s goals but none of them were to lucky to score any goal and first half of the match ended as goalless. In the second half, both the teams started game carefully but Nasir Makkah of Noshkal Baloch FC took advantage of defensive lapse of Afghan Chaman as he netted the ball to take 1-0 lead.
Afghan Chaman FC then tried hard to equalize but could not take any advantage because of too good defense of Noshkal that did not allow them to post any goal and won the match by 1-0 to seal the final’s berth.
Afghan Pishin FC faced the challenge of Aqua Quetta FC in the second semifinal where Aqua Quetta came out as victorious. Khano was lone goal scorer for Aqua Quetta and that remained till the end of the match as Aqua Quetta also qualifies for the final of Ufone Balochistan Cup 2018.
Noshkal Baloch and Aqua Quetta now face each other in the final of Ufone Balochistan Cup for the title race today at the Railway Ground Quetta.
Aim of the championship is to promote football in the province and engage the youth in healthy activities where they can prove themselves and play along with professional football clubs of their cities.
