Proficient Aqsa Awan received ‘‘Fakhar e Peshawar’’ award
Aqsa Hussain Awan rewarded with “Fakhar e Peshawar” award and received many more achievements in JUDU due to her excellent performance since 2013.
The young talented Pakhtun Girl “Aqsa Hussain Awan” from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recently won the award of “Fakhar e Peshawar “. She has keen interest in Judo and at the age of fourteen instead of school she was going stadium every day to watch the judo training in the club where only boys do training. One day her school principal sent a complaint to her father that why your daughter has a very low attendance in school. After that day, her father daily watches the fond of his daughter in sports and then he granted her to take admission in Judu club.
After one week of her practice in Judu class, she won gold her maiden medal in Inter Division Women Judo Championship and that was the start of her career. She faced many problems in her career just because being a Pakhtun girl, as her culture does not allows her to wear judo kit and did train with boys. She is the only girl in her club “Mansoor karate and Judu club”.
She wants be an inspiration and role model to many especially Pakhtun girls. She requests more girls to join her in the Judo or other fields of Martial Arts not only from KPK and but from all over Pakistan.
