Naseem Hameed Football Academy clinches KE Girls Football League
Naseem Hameed Football Academy defeated Marta Women Football Club by 2-0 to clinch the trophy of the Karachi Electric (KE) Girls Football League at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Sports Complex in Karachi.
The tournament was jointly organized by K-Electric and Naseem Hameed Football Academy. Eight football clubs from around the city participated in this tournament. 128 young female footballers participated in the event. The participating teams included Naseem Hameed Football Academy, Aga Khan Gymkhana, Young Muslim Women Football Club, Marta Women Football Club, Karachi Kickers Football Academy, Mohsin Gilani Football Academy, Elite Sports Academy and Social Bond FC.
Naseem Hameed Football Academy netted the ball in extra time to defeat Marta Women Football Club on penalties by 2-0 to seal the trophy of the Karachi Electric (KE) Girls Football League and received the prize money of PKR 100,000.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Dr Niaz Abbasi along Naseem Hameed, Former Balochistan Sports Minister Col (R) Younus Changaizi and with senior officials of K-Electric.
