Parkha, Rimsha Shines in ladies event at Punjab Open Golf
Parkha Ijaz compiled a score of par 72 and her sister Rimsha Ijaz managed a score of gross 78 on the opening day of the 37th Punjab Open Golf Championship here at Defence Raya Golf and Country Club Golf Course.
The first day of the five-day golf event was allocated to the ladies event only which played over two rounds and 36 holes while the ladies event will conclude today. In ladies event Parkha Ijaz showed marvelous golfing skills and compiled a score of par 72 in the 37th Punjab Open Golf Championship here at Defence Raya Golf and Country Club Golf Course.
In the gross category, her nearest challenger is her own sister Rimsha Ijaz is placed six strokes behind the leader. Rimsha’s effort during the first round was notable she managed a score of gross 78 and is determined to improve her position on Thursday.
Toady ladies will compete over 36 holes and the Senior professionals ,over 50 years of age ,the junior professionals, less than 23 years of age and the senior amateurs ,over 55 years of age will fight it out for a much sought after place amongst the top performers another happening is that Brig Sajid Khokhar ,Administartor ,DHA will hit the opening golf shot.
