Ton-up Saleem Elahi steers Amar Cables to victory in Seniors Cricket Cup
International cricketer Saleem helps Amar Cables to win the match against Lahore Spartanz in the 19th National Seniors Cricket Cup at Cricket Center Ground Lahore.
Batting first Amar Cables put a massive total of 257/9 on the score board in the allotted 30 overs. Veteran player Saleem Elahi scored 108 runs with the help of a six and 14 boundaries. Afzal Shah 44, Rehan Riaz 27, Naveed Sufi 19 and Imtiaz Tarar 17 runs not out were the other top scorers.
Jameel Ahmed begged 3 wickets for 48 runs while Hafiz Waseem, Ahmed Raza and Mudasar Rathor for 1 wicket weach for Lahore Spartanz.
In reply, Lahore Spartanz managed to score only 191 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 30 overs. Muhammad Siddique 53, Ahmed Raza 35, Zaheer Iqbal 30, Mudassar Rathor 17 and Amjad Aziz 17 not out were top scorers for Lahore Spartanz.
Rehan Rauf took 4 wickets for 27 runs while Imtiaz Tarar, Naveed Sufi, Javaid Khan and Akbar Ali got 1 wicket each for Amar Cables.
