Sarunchana wins PGF Amateur Golf
Thai lady Miss Sarunchana Rattanasin won the third PGF Ladies Amateur Golf Championship at Islamabad Golf course.
With the aggregate score of six over 222, Sarunchana Rattanasin of Thailand won the gross category on the third and final day of the event. She set her tone with the five under 67 gross on the opening day but did not maintain the tempo for the rest of two rounds carding an aggregate score of six over for 54 holes.
Her countrywomen Mrs Tantita Aungusee was a stroke behind and finished her three day campaign with seven over 223 to become second in the competition. Bangladeshi Sonia Akhtar ended on third with 24 over 240 for three rounds.
Hamna Amjad (Kamra) clinched distinction by winning the ladies net category with aggregate score of 12 under 204 followed by Zebun Nisa as she carded 223 net the same score that was gained by Bangladeshi Liza Akhtar to get the third position.
Nagmana Atif clinched the silver category by scoring 144 gross in two days. Shahzadi Gulfam captured the net category of the event with 146 score. Dr Sania Nishtar was the guest of honor and she distributed prizes among the winners.
