Pakistan wins Boys Junior Davis Cup final
Pakistani juniors outplayed top seed Pacific Oceania by 2-1 in the Junior Davis Cup 2018 final held in Sri Lanka.
Third seed Pakistan fought well and overcame the top seeds in a brilliant display of team work to keep their unbeaten record in the tournament.
Pakistan Juniors were on a role here as they outplayed top seeds Pacific Oceania in the final of Junior Davis cup 2018 by 2-1. It was by highly fantastic and sensational performance shown by the youngsters. Both teams make it to the Asia Oceania Junior Davis Cup Qualifying round to be held in Kuching, Malaysia in April.
Top Junior Pakistani ace Huzaifa Abdul Rehman started the final’s campaign as he thrashed Robert Schorr by 6-0, 6-1. Huzaifa did not allow the opponent to take any point in the first set but conceded only a single point in the second set and gave Pakistan 1-0 lead over Pacific Oceania.
In the second match, Clement Mainguy outplayed Muhammad Shoaib by 4-6 and 3-6. In the first set, Shoaib resisted a little against Clement and took 4 points but Clement did not allow Shoaib to play freely and lost the second set by 3-6 and Pakistan suffered first loss of the event.
In the doubles match, Pakistani duo Huzaifa Abdul Rehman& Muhammad Shoaib stunned Clement Mainguy & Ken Song by 6-1 and 6-1. Pakistani pair won the match easily and give Pakistan top slot.
