Pakistan to participate in Asian U21 Snooker Championship
Five member snooker team to leave for Myanmar tomorrow to take part in Asian U21 snooker championship in Yangon.
Three players along two officials will be featuring in five member contingent. Muhammad Naseem Akhtar, Muhammad Shahbaz and Taris Tahir are the team members while Jawed Karim and Naveed Kapadia are accompanying the team as managers.
Official of Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association in a statement has said top Asian teams will be in the event which will be a test of skills and technique of the Pakistani players. “But it will also boost the confidence and skills of local players playing against international players” he added.
He was hopeful that Pakistani players would perform better to live up to the expectations. “PBSA is taking positive measures for the uplift of the game among the junior players and participation of our junior teams in Asian junior level events is a part of our effort to polish the talent of upcoming promising players”, he said.
