Electrifying start of KP U-23 Inter-District Female Games
Around 430 female players from Lakki Marwat and Bannu are participating in KP U-23 Bannu Region Inter-District Female Games at Govt Post Graduate College for women Bannu.
Begum Deputy Commissioner Bannu, APA Zohra and AC Shabir Khan formally inaugurated the ceremony in simple but impressive manner more than 430 female players are taking part in 13 different games comprising athletic, basketball, badminton, cricket, judo, volleyball, table tennis, baseball, squash, hockey, and tug of war.
The colorful ceremony was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by winner of KP Qirat Conrtest Miss Mehmoona Gul, followed by a melodious Naat presented by Sudha Rehman also from a winner of Naat contest held on district level. Miss Sumbal, Hazia and Suria of GGHS Sikander Khail Bala presented a well-prepared National Anthem.
A stunning PT show and well-dressed March Past of the participating contingents turned the whole complexion into a joyful moments with school children presented song “Ye Das Hamara Ha Isay Ham Na Sawara Ha” and Jevy Jevy Pakistan and Dil Dil Pakistan.
In the opening day match of Tug-of-War Bannu defeated Lakki Marwat by 2-1 and in the Table Tennis Bannu defeated Lakki Marwat. Hina Jamshed, Chahat, Uzma Qazi of Bannu recorded victory against Shehla, Warisha, Shehzeba and Komal in straight sets.
In the end, the chief guest distributed the trophies, cash prizes and medals to the position holder players. The winner was awarded Rs. 20,000 while the runners got Rs. 15000 cash prize.
