Muzammil, Mahin seals JCSC Open Tennis titles

Muhammed Muzammil outplayed top seed Muhammed Abid in straight sets to lift the 1st Chairman JCSC Open Tennis Championship 2018 at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Complex.

 
Chairman JCSC Open Tennis Championship concluded under the supervision of Pakistan Tennis Federation at PTF Complex Islamabad, in which a large number of boys and girls are participated in different age categories. Mahin Aftab won the ladies singles title after defeating top seed Pakistan No 1 Sara Mansoor in straight sets. In the men’s singles final, Muzammil Murtaza outplayed the top seed Muhammad Abid by 7-5, 6-4, who bagged his first national title.

In the men’s senior (over 45) doubles final Hameedul Haq and Mushaf Zia outplayed the top seeded pair of Irfanullah and Mehmood Khan 7-5, 6-4.In Boys’ under-14 single’s final Hamza Roman defeated Hasan Ali by 4-2, 4-5(4), 4-1 and wins the under-14 title of JCSC Open Tennis Championship.The boys’ Under-18 singles title was won by Muhammad Shoaib by defeating Huzaifa Abdul Rehman with 4-6, 6-2, 2-1. Hamza Roman bagged the Under-10 boys’ and girls’ singles final after beating Jamal Shah by 4-2, 4-5 (9), 4-1.

JCSC chairman Lt Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat NI (M) graced the occasion as chief guest, while among others, PTF president Salim Saifullah Khan, Air vice Marhsal Farooq Habib, high-ranked military officers (serving & retired), PTF officials and a sizable crowd were also present there. In the end, JCSC chairman and his wife, PTF president and Air vice Marshal distributed the shields among the players.
