KP, Punjab victorious in National Baseball
KP defeated Fata by 9-8 while Punjab trashed FATA by 12-0 on the second day of the Khawar Shah National Baseball Championship at the Bahria Town Baseball Stadium, Lahore.
Two matches were played on the second day of Khawar Shah National Baseball Championship where after a tough fight KP edged Fata out by a slim margin of 9-8 runs while Punjab trashed FATA in a one sided encounter by 12-0.
In the first match KP defeated Fata where Mansoor Ahmad, Hameed and Faisal played major roles for the victory by contributing two valuable runs each for KP while Waseem, Abid and Asim also held their nerves in the neck to neck fight to add one run each. For Fata, Irfan and Gohar impressed adding two runs each, while Waheed, Nasim, Hazratullah and Attaullah also making one run apiece to show a resolute resistance against seasoned rivals KP.
In the second match of the day Punjab turned KP’s celebrations of the victory against Fata by defeating them with a wide margin of 12-0. For Punjab, Ali Raza and Afraz remained top scorers with three runs each while Nasir scored two runs and Asif, Zeeshan, Rasheed and Bilal all contributed one run apiece.
