Ahmed Baig maintain his lead in Nick Faldo Golf Series
Pakistani golfer Ahmed Baig leads the Under-21 category as M. Saqib tops the second round chart in boy’s under-18 category on Day-2 of the series.
Pakistani golfer Ahmed Baig maintains his position on top of the leader board in under-21 category with overall gross score of 139 at the Laguna Lang Co Golf Course, Vietnam.
Ahmed Baig, who is competing in under-21 category, continued his good form as he lead the chart with the score of 3 under par. In the second round played on day-2 of the series, Ahmed occupies 4th position with a gross score of 72. Ahmed Baig is well set at the top with a 3 shot difference with a score of 139 at the end of Round 2. Trailing his at second place are challengers Sukra Bahadur Rai (NEP) and Nathen Tan En Quan (SIN) with total gross 142.
In the second round of under 18 category, Pakistani golfer Saqib Tufail was in superb form as he succeeded in hitting the ball really well on all the par fours and par fives. The rhythm in his swing gave him the power to hit the ball accurately and his score for the second round remains gross 71, which enabled him to appear as the leader in the under 18 years age category. Saqib is currently positioned at 5th overall, with the gross score of 149 at the end of Round 2.
Little one from Pakistan, Damil Ataullah, participating in the under-16 age category, managed a score of gross 80, is placed at 18th place. Although he showed excellent hitting talent as he was a little uncertain on the fast greens.
In the girls competition Pakistani, Aania Farooq is placed on 11th and Hamna Amjad is placed on 17th position where Aania scored 165 and Humna's total score was 162 in girls under-21 and under-16 respectively.
The three days Nick Faldo Series Golf Final started on 1st March at the Laguna Lang Co Golf Course in Vietnam. Team of five young golfers from Pakistan are participating among the eighty-one total golfers from different countries.
