Faisalabad to host international Youth, Junior handball competitions
Faisalabad to host international youth and Junior handball events from 10 to 15 March at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s international handball court.
Pakistan handball Federation (PHF) is all set to organize International Handball Federtion’s (IHF) South and Centeral Asia youth and junior trophy events at Faisalabad from March 10 to March 15, 2018.
5 international teams Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Nepal have confirmed their entries for the event in which under-18 players will compete in youth category and under-20 will participate in junior category. Entries of Srilanka and Yemen were also expected.
Faisalabad got the honor to organize the event second time. In 2014, Faisalabad hosted the event at same venue in which Pakistan junior’s won the gold.
A cultural show will also held on March 10 at 6pm before the opening ceremony. Final of the junior category will held on 15th March at 2:30pm.
IHF also deputed international referees and technical delegation to conduct the event.
The referees are Eial Awad Yaser, Alzyyat Akram (from Jordon), Al Wahibi Khamis, Al Shahi Omar (Oman), Kawai Norinage, Usui Ken (Japan), Alsager Mohammed, Al Sugufi Ali Mohammed (Saudi Arabia), Sultan Mehmood, Asif Ali (Pakistan).
Posavec Josip of Croatia, Zain Al Abedin of Jordon and Ikramov Ulugbek of Uzbekistan will serve as technical delegates.Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Salman Ghani has been appointed as the chairman organizing committee. Azhar Chaudhry will serve as the organizing secretary.
